Three years ago, Washington United’s under 10 team we’re on the brink of ‘folding’ due to financial worries, and a general need for support!
Three years of continuous help from Polymer Compounders Limited, and, that has all changed. The team are on the rise once again and have now been promoted into the ‘Premier Division’ of the Russell Foster Youth League. In recent times, they have also had the added confidence boost of being given a new custom branded team strip that proudly features the Polymer Compounders Limited company logo. The team is known to many local businesses, and some are supplied by Polymer Compounders Limited.
“The continued support of Polymer Compounders and Mr Hurst has made it possible for us to order new training tops for the team as the old ones were three years old and looking a bit shabby – not to mention a bit tight on some of the boys!” explained Stephen Hudson, Team Manager. “It has also been possible to update our equipment as we move up the age groups, thanks to PCL’s support.” He added.
As a thank you for the continued support PCL’s own site manager Stuart Hurst was presented with a framed team shirt as a token gesture for his contribution to the team. The shirt now hangs pride of place in Stuart’s office for all staff and visitors to see.
