Last week Polymer Compounders Ltd was confirmed as one of the Plastics Industry Awards 2016 finalists, in the Business Initiative of the Year category. This award is open to processors and suppliers which can demonstrate real business growth through a range of enterprising initiatives.
“Our entry summarises all the hard work done at PCL throughout 2015 and early 2016 to expand, improve our processes and increase the production capacity by 50% – something that all our customers benefit from today”, explained Sophie Casenave, PCL Business Development Manager. “We are extremely proud to have been selected to go on the short list”, she added.
According to Steve Crowhurst, managing director of Crain Communications UK, which organises the PIAs and publishes PRW: “The PIAs are the best way to celebrate excellence in the UK plastics industry.”
Jackie Hughes, from the PIA organisation, added: “the standard of entries this year was above anything we have seen before and judging has taken longer this year to complete as a result of how close so many categories were. Judging has been very exciting this year indeed and the judges have had their work well and truly cut out!”
The awards will be revealed and handed out during a ceremony held in London on 30th September. More information about the ceremony can be found here. If you are coming, let us know; it will be pleasure to see you there and celebrate the success stories of the industry.
